Dan and I are so grateful to have been married by Michele. Having decided to forgo a traditional church wedding in favour of a secular locale, it was even more important to us that our vows reflect the seriousness of our commitment to one another and marked both the solemnity and joy of this occasion. We wanted to imbue our wedding ceremony with a sense of occasion, community, and love. And for it to be unique, to reflect us. Under Michele’s careful and compassionate guidance, and with her creative and eloquent writing, a ceremony was written that accomplished all of this and more. She was such an important part of the journey leading up to our ceremony. Her warmth, curiosity, and professionalism were greatly appreciated. Dan and I both looked forward to our conversations with Michele as she uncovered what makes our relationship special, and were amazed at how she wove our story, our emotions and our feelings into an incredible ceremony. Michele deftly found ways to include our families and friends in our ‘story’, building a sense of inclusion.
During our wedding, Michele’s warmth and kindness were remarked on by so many of our guests. Many said it was the best ceremony they had ever witnessed. Everyone felt a part of a community that day. And Dan and I had the incredible joy of words and vows that we’d been a part of creating. Afterwards, friends and family said they got to know us better through our ceremony. There are so many decisions to be made in planning a memorable wedding day. However, undoubtedly the best and most important decision we made was in asking Michele to be our Celebrant.”
